Overview
Description: During this project, students will learn about the three phases of matter and how they relate to 3D printing. They will follow a step-by-step design process to create a unique 3D printed object and complete an activity to learn the difference between a solution and a mixture. This project was developed in partnership with MakerGirl, a not-for-profit organization that inspires girls to be active in STEM.
Distance Learning: This project includes an in-person learning and distance learning option. The in-person learning option requires a 3D printer to complete.
Standards: This project aligns to Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts, Next Generation Science Standards, International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, and Florida CPALMS Standards for third grade through fifth grade.
