Overview
Description: During this project, students will learn about the history of jigsaw puzzles, from their origin as “dissected maps” in the 1760’s to today. They will research iconic photos and works of art that have been used in educational and recreational puzzles. They will then make a puzzle using Fusion 360 and makerspace equipment.
Distance Learning: This project includes an in-person learning and distance learning option. The in-person learning option requires both a laser cutter/engraver and a vinyl cutter/printer to complete.
Standards: This project is aligned to Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts, Next Generation Science Standards, International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, and Florida CPALMS Standards for sixth grade through twelfth grade.
